Is Your PubStock Data Up To Date?
In the past few weeks we have come across something we feel is deserving of a quick little reminder here ... And don't worry you lovely folk, you're not in trouble - but since PubStock is a paid subscription, we like to point out this kind of important stuff and ensure you all have the most recent data.
Thanks to the magic of our ALT & H remote help tool, we are able to connect with you cool cats and hop on your screens and work out problems with you. And sometimes, after a couple cups of coffee our eyes are keen enough to notice when other things on your end just don't look right.

We gather stock info from about 130 vendors and most send us their data every day, if not multiple times a day. Of course there are some small publishers who may only send their information once every couple of weeks, but for about 80-90% of the vendors showing in our PubStock file, you should see the most current data [either yesterday, or today's date] - anything older than that means something is not working on your end. Your PubStock should be downloading on a daily basis at whatever time it is set to go in your Scheduler. Sometimes of course, things don't go as planned - and the file doesn't download. This can be for a number of reasons, ranging from anti-virus blocking the download, a computer shutting down overnight, or the routine being turned off/deleted, etc. So, if you are seeing old dates across the board when you look at your PubStock, or even dates that are in RED - that is not a good sign - something is not working! Feel free to give us a call and we can make sure that everything is set up OK on your end. And we ask that you make sure your staff know this as well, since you don't want to be using old data and telling your customers a book will arrive for them in a few days time.
