The F2 key - A little key with a lot of
In the middle of receiving, a customer walks up to you and wants to know if you have a copy of the bestselling "I Love Cats" in stock. You don't want to have to get out of your receiving session to do an inventory lookup for them. No problem! Pressing the F2 key brings up an "anytime inventory search" area which allows you to do all of the different types of inventory searches without leaving the area you are in. Simply hit F2, do your search, then hit Escape until you are back to what you were working on. Genius!
Let's say you were in a customer record, reviewing their sales history and a title catches your eye. You want to see the full inventory details of that item, but you want to stay in the customer's history as well. What to do, what to do? Simply arrow down to the item, then hit F2 twice. BookManager will look at which ISBN you have highlighted and bring you straight to the item's inventory record (without you having to search for it). When you are finished, you can press Escape until you are back where you started.
In either case, you can view / scroll through an item's history and also order the item, return it, and do all of the other usual inventory functions before returning to where you were originally working. Just another example of our "information is just a keystroke away" philosophy and yet another reason why the keyboard is mightier than the mouse!

Payments of over $100,000 are now supported in the Accounts receivable.
Due to space limitations in the A/R, if you received a payment more than $99,999 it would not post the transaction in your A/R correctly. For the [lucky] handful of you that knew about this issue and had to do several POS payments as a workaround, relief is yours!
You will of course, need to get an update to take advantage of this change. And make sure you create a BackUp first … just in case!

As they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease … Over the last few months, we have been asked a few times to make a change on your WebStores that is linked to the new Staff Home Page. Although a lot of you gave us great feedback on the new TitleBrowser area and what is now essentially your new catalogue/lists “inbox” – some of you didn’t care for the new redirectional change that came with that. As you know, once a user is logged in - either as a store, or a customer - they are automatically taken to the catalogues/lists area. Our intention with this change was to bring NEW lists to your attention. As you know, any new lists created are put to the top of the pile there and we thought that would be the best way to help you stay on top that. However, understandably, some stores were not fond of the change, and as such, we have made it an option to turn this browser redirection off.
When you are logged on your WebStore, select Site Settings from the Setup menu and you will now see the option “Enable automatic browse redirection: When checked, Store and Publisher logged in as Corp will be forwarded to the Title Viewer when visiting the main page.”
Leave the box unchecked if you want the previous behaviour – which means you will NOT be taken to the lists/catalogue area automatically when you log in.
