We are looking for an outgoing individual, passionate about reading and curious about opportunities in bookselling. This position requires computer literacy, strong attention to detail, great spelling and alphabetizing, research skills and a broad base of general knowledge. Retail experience is an asset.
The successful candidate will have a good general knowledge of books and be an enthusiastic reader of new books; will be able to move boxes (20 to 30 pounds), follow shelving guidelines for each section of the store and handle customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
Additional responsibilities come with experience – event planning and management, assisting with ordering and reordering books, returning stock and managing email orders - for example.
