Volume One opened its doors in 1972 and has been a focal point of downtown Duncan ever since. Currently under the ownership of Garry MacGregor and Janice Hayward, our bookstore offers a wide selection of new and bargain books as well as an extensive children's section. We love to unite the right book with the right person so feel free to ask our knowledgeable staff for assistance.

WATCH FOR PENGUINS!!
The Penguin Hurts are back at Volume One.
Penguin Publishers have done it again. They offered us a full skid of remaindered books - about 40 boxes - at a price we couldn't refuse.   These books are either coming out in paperback or with a new cover, or are just too numerous for Penguin's warehouse. Some books are slightly hurt, but all are marked at about half the regular retail price.
Enter our "What do you do with a hurt Penguin" contest for a chance to win your choice of book from our well-stocked sale section!
Contest closes July 2nd; winners will be announced shortly after.
